David and Jerrod always hoped that becoming parents would be part of their future. In 2017, they were introduced to Holy Family Services, Adoption and Foster Care (HFS) through friends who had adopted with the agency. With excitement and hope, they began their own journey, eager to open their hearts and home to a child.
In the summer of 2019, their dreams came true with the birth of their daughter, Eva. From the very beginning, Eva brought light, laughter, and love into their lives. David and Jerrod often reflect on how supported they felt during this time—through every question, milestone, and challenge, HFS guided them with care and encouragement.
By 2021, the couple felt ready to grow again, this time choosing the path of foster care adoption. They knew the process would be different, but also that HFS would walk alongside them. The agency provided the training, resources, and ongoing support they needed to step into this journey with confidence and open hearts.
In 2023, David and Jerrod were matched with siblings, Leila and Nolan. From the start, the children felt like part of the family, blending seamlessly with Eva and quickly making the house feel fuller, livelier, and more complete. With the guidance of HFS and the love of their extended family and friends, the transition became a celebration of resilience and belonging.
This past April, David and Jerrod finalized the adoptions of Leila and Nolan, officially completing their family of five. Their story is a testament to love, patience, and the power of family to grow in beautiful and unexpected ways. Today, their home rings with laughter, play, and the unshakable bond of three children and two parents who always believed that love would lead them here.
