Dear Birth Mom,
I can’t begin to know the emotions that you’re going through right now but I do know that I’ve prayed for you and this baby every day since I started this process. I pray for a peace and overwhelming sense of love to surround you as you make this decision. I know that your choice to choose adoption and place your trust in another mom is one that is made with fierce love for your baby. Know that this baby will know that their birth mom loved them and wanted to make the best decision they could. It will be very important to me to share with my baby where they came from and how I got the great honor to be their mom.
My heart aches to be a mom. I have wanted children my entire life. As a little girl, my mom would bake blueberry muffins with us on Saturday mornings and it is a memory I cherish. I have always wanted to create those memories with children of my own. Blueberry muffins on Saturday mornings, bedtime stories every night, making homemade play-doh and getting to choose the color I wanted and add the dye into the pan. All of those things will be a part of my child’s life because those are the memories that mold us and show us what unconditional love is.
The most important thing to know about me is that I’m a Christian and I love the Lord. This baby will be surrounded by an abundance of Godly, loving people. My family and friends are beyond excited to help me raise this precious gift. They cannot wait to meet this sweet baby. My mom, dad and sister all live within a few miles of my home and visit almost daily. My parents cannot wait to be grandparents and my sister is so excited to be the greatest Aunt ever! I am also surrounded by a community of very close friends and neighbors who have become family. Two of my dearest friends are expecting twins, we have already begun referring to our kids as the three musketeers because they will grow up together and get to build a lifelong friendship with each other. You will see throughout this book that the people that I have surrounding me in my life will also be the people surrounding this baby, loving and guiding them through life. I call them my village and we all feel grateful that you are considering me to be the mom to your precious baby.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and see the kind of mom I will be. There is no greater feeling than thinking about picking up my baby and bringing them home to a nursery filled with love and anticipation for what life will bring to us.

Querida Mamá Biológica,
No puedo imaginar las emociones por las que estás pasando en este momento, pero quiero que sepas que yo he orado por ti y por este bebé todos los días, desde que comencé este proceso. Oro para que en estos momentos abrumadores estés rodeada de paz y amor, yo sé que tu decisión de elegir la adopción y depositar tu confianza en otra madre está hecha con valentía y amor por tu bebe. Quiero que sepas que este bebé sabrá que su mamá de nacimiento lo amaba mucho y por eso ella quiso tomar la mejor decisión posible por su bienestar. Es muy importante para mí compartir con mi bebé de dónde viene y cómo yo obtuve el gran honor de ser su Mamá.
Tengo el gran anhelo de ser madre, tanto que me duele el corazón, he querido tener hijos toda mi vida. Recuerdo que de niña los sábados por la mañana, mi mamá horneaba muffins de arándano con nosotros y es un recuerdo que yo valoro mucho porque siempre he querido crear esos recuerdos con mis propios hijos. Al igual que los muffins de arándano, también nos contaban cuentos antes de dormir todas las noches, hacíamos plastilina casera y me gustaba elegir el color y agregar el tinte en el sartén. Todas esas experiencias también serán parte de la vida de mi hijo porque esos son los recuerdos que nos moldea y nos demuestra lo que es el amor incondicional.
Lo más importante que debes saber de mí es que soy cristiana y Amo a Dios Nuestro Señor.
Este bebé estará rodeado por una gran cantidad de personas piadosas y maravillosas. Mi familia y mis amigos están más que emocionados y listos para ayudarme a sacar adelante este precioso regalo y con mucha emoción esperan conocer a este dulce bebé. Mi mamá, mi papá y mi hermana viven a unas pocas millas de mi casa y me visitan casi a diario. ¡Mis padres están ansiosos por ser abuelos y mi hermana está muy emocionada y lista de ser la mejor tía de todo el mundo! También estoy rodeada de un grupo de personas muy cercanas a mí quien son mis amigos y vecinos y quienes se han convertido en familia. Dos de mis amigos más queridos están esperando gemelos, y ya hemos comenzado a referirnos a nuestros hijos como los tres mosqueteros, porque crecerán juntos y construirán una amistad de por vida. A lo largo de este libro veras que las personas que me rodean en mi vida serán las personas que rodearán a este bebé, lo amaran y lo guiaran a través de su vida. A ellos los considero “mi pueblo” y todos te agradecemos que me consideres para Madre de este precioso bebé.

No hay mayor ilusión para mí que pensar en el momento en el que pueda ir a recoger a mi bebé y traerlo a su hogar cual es un lugar lleno de amor y anticipación por lo que la vida nos traerá.
