Holy Family Services, Adoption and Foster Care (HFS) is proud to welcome Shannon Matta, MSW as our new Outreach Coordinator. In this role, Shannon will focus on building and strengthening relationships with hospitals, clinics, and community partners to ensure that families and youth receive the resources and care they need. Her work will be essential in expanding awareness of HFS services and connecting families to the support systems that make all the difference.
A key part of Shannon’s work will be developing our foster parent program. By identifying and nurturing families who are ready to step into the important role of fostering, she will help address the urgent needs of children in care. Shannon’s outreach aims to not only expand the pool of foster parents but also strengthen the overall network of care for children who deserve safe, loving, and stable homes.
In addition, Shannon will bring HFS’s mission directly into the community by speaking at events, hosting informational sessions, and collaborating with local organizations. She is available to present to hospitals, clinics, schools, businesses, and faith communities—any group that wants to learn more about the foster care system, the need for foster parents, or the many ways to support children and families.
While her primary focus is on building new connections and programs, Shannon also brings years of professional experience in adoption and foster care. Her background ensures she understands the challenges families face, the support they need, and the systems that must be navigated to create lasting change.
We are thrilled to have Shannon on our team and look forward to the many ways she will help HFS strengthen families and serve children. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent—or if you’d like to invite Shannon to present to your organization—please reach out at shannon.matta@hfs.org or (213) 202-3900. Together, we can grow the network of care every child deserves.
